Buying Lego in Mexico City/Cancun

ScarraScarra LondonMember Posts: 125
Hi. Hoping all had a great start to the new year.
Just wanted to know if there are any hints I could get as to where it is possible to buy Lego in Mexico City/Cancun.
Looking for mainly polybags that may be available here, not boxed sets.
Any ideas would be welcomed.

Polybags are very rare here in Mexico. The last time I saw one was about 4 or 5 years ago! The usual boxed sets and CMF you can get though. Prices are the same as in the US or a bit higher.

There is an outdoor shopping centre/retail park in Cancun within walking distance of one of the Palace hotels (we were staying at the Moon Palace and got a free shuttle to one of the other resorts for the day (Sun Palace?). There is an unofficial Lego shop or toy shop that sold almost exclusively Lego (it was 4 years ago) but it was very expensive compared to UK prices.

Never looked for LEGO while in Mexico, but they have some sets in the duty free shops in the Cancun Airport. Prices where 30-50% above US prices and nothing was unique.

    Thanks for all the information.
Everybody is right that polybags don't seem to be readily available in Mexico.
They do have a Hamleys toy store in Mexico City with most of the current wave of sets.
Prices on par with that in the U.K.

There is a mall called La Quinta Alegría in La Quinta Avenida (Fifth Avenue) where you can find a couple of stores that sell LEGO. There were some Scooby Doo sets and Ninjago, but that was a couple of years ago.

Hey there @monkeyhanger!... unfortunately, the Lego shop you're referring to closed down a few years ago now. The mall it was in is called 'Plaza la Isla'.

As everyone else has mentioned, polybags are practically nonexistent here in Mexico.

If anyone else is ever in Cancun, send me a message and we can go for coffee or a beer, and maybe do a bit of Lego shopping =D
