I'd just like to say I have no affiliation or link of any kind to the Lego Star shopping domain, other than it looking very similar to my brickset username.

I did discover that my username was already on bricklink and flickr when I wanted to setup accounts elsewhere but I wasn't aware of that until much later than sign up here.

LEGO legal certainly seem to have their work cut out for them.

interesting list Lego has already claimed " A few examples of these include lego.world, lego.wtf, lego.video, lego.tv, lego.toys, lego.movie, lego.gift, lego.deals, lego.sucks, and even lego.porn. As long as LEGO holds on to these domains, nobody else will be able to register them."

In today's world, IP issues are just very complex to manage and deal with. Ethically, it might be wrong for me to register lego.deals, but since I live in a capitalist society/economy where the goal is to make money, I should be entitled to do so in order to gain from it. Think about how if I own a chain of gas stations, and someone buys a corner property as investment, there is legal or ethical reason for me to be mad at that entity who owns the corner property...

I don't think having usernames with brand names is a problem, and to the contrary, it adds to a brand (hey, look at my username too), as long as there are no direct profits or gains from it...so yeah, complex situation.

    lego.porn.

Today, I learned of Lego's possible concern over people who lurk in the darkest corners of the internet making XXX rated content that involves Lego.

That is also not something I'd like to thing about. Ever.
