Had these sets for some time now all brand new. Sold them all for 3500. Do you guys think I got a good return on them? Vintage early sets are so hard to appraise. Set numbers are 057 (2) 065 061 061 102 041

I'd say that was a decent sell.

You got a good return on your money!  The 041 set isn't all that rare (unless the inner box is shrink wrapped).  The 102 Legoland Set and 065 Double Garage Kit are very rare in MISB.  And those 3 big cellophane window USA Samsonite LEGO spare parts packs rarely come up for sale (they did not survive in quantity).

USA Samsonite LEGO sales were never more than $5 million in any given year, which is why TLG took the USA LEGO license back in 1972.

All but the Jumbo Bricks and 102 Legoland set were sold by USA LEGO retailers in this type of countertop display stand.... from 1967-71....

Really Really appreciate the information and input. Very informative for me. Yeah my 041 set was shrink wrapped inner box. All in all I only paid 670 combined for all these sets new. Biggest thing for me though was I sold it to a collector who really appreciates the sets, and will take care of them for me. That's the biggest thing for me.

As a seller I think you did very well.  Congratulations.

As a potential buyer, I don't see anything here that would make me spend that sort of money.  Personally the most interesting set to me is 102.  I wouldn't mind have one sealed and one opened.  The photo of Legoland unique to sets of this era.  Sometimes I like the parts packs, sometimes I don't.  In this case I don't, although I was would to see a seal 061 for some reason.  I'm not a fan of the Jumbo bricks, so any sealed examples aren't that exciting to me.

Personally thoughts aside, again congratulations on the sale.  Somebody clearly sees the value of these and is going to appreciate them.
