Two Minifigures Worth Their Weight in Gold and Silver... and Slightly More!

These are (sadly) not mine.

The following figures have come into the possession of a rare minifigure collector in Scotland:

There are only 2 of these frames in existence and of course the 14k gold and sterilng silver figures are 1 of 2.

One frame was handed out as a prize at SDCC in 2010 and the other at Celebration V in 2010.

The owner has no secrets about his collection... he is coincidentally the winner of the George Lucas figure that was auctioned a few months ago for $11,000.

What he paid for these? I have it on good authority that it was over $100,000 but that cannot be 100% confirmed or denied.

Hard not to be envious of his collection:

He's the way I wish a lot more collectors were about their collections, completely open and willing to share their treasures with the public! Too many of these gems get hidden away without a trace.

On a side note, for anyone feeling guilty in this thread:

Glad I could wash away your guilt... :)
