Lego Expo - Wantage Museum July-Sep 2018

Afternoon folks,

A few people enquired about another post I put recently, about a local Lego Expo, my local museum does.

This is it's third year now, I believe, and is getting longer each summer!

Essentially the local museum showcases MOCs and Set builds that people would like to display and look at. They also have minifigure hunts for people ad other games/quizes, and this year, an additional hunt will extend into the historic Wantage Marketplace.

I will post more information nearer the time, but it would be great if people who live within a reasonable distance (as displays need to be dropped off at the museum in advance of the show) could maybe think of sets or MOCs they'd like to have displayed for others to see and help support the event.

There will be an online submission form where you 'enter' what it is you're displaying, either a description of your MOC, or, for simple people like me, the Set Name and number of what you're taking along.

Last year saw a lot of imagination from childrens ideas, but also had a large SW presence and scenes made up. And, as it was still only just out and available in the London stores, the Bus that I'd built got lots of attention, as it hadn't been seen by many at that time.

Flyer attached and if you need to know more, please let me know. I don't work for the museum, but try to support as best I can, as well as help out the sponsor, Toy Planet (retro toys, games, comics and Lego) in raising awareness of it.

PS, assume I can maybe add to the events calendar, nearer the time?
