I don't notice any other resellers in my area, stuff goes gradually @abordoli yeah, whole sets aren't worth it, I part out on bricklink. $2.99 CMFs are before my time, $3.99 isn't really worth it for me either even if I pick out just the higher value figures
ok girl... that's all well and good to have it nice and tidy but you and me both know that's not going to last. i give it untill you start to build again before it a mass of brick's all over the place! but good on you for the try at keeping tidey!
my lego collection is always tidy. actually lego forces me to keep my room tidy so that I can find space for new sets and display them correctly.
I have the same issue. Lego everywhere and always being forced to defrag my shelf-space...lol.
I used to be a reseller (now reformed) and a cart full of sets was never profitable. It was all about the mystery-pack-minifigs and my abilities as a "Lego Whisperer" to sell them sealed. When the price got hiked from $2.99 to $3.99, I saw no profit in it as I was a bulk seller (i.e 500 Pandas to China, etc.). The extra 50 cents I made on each one, I considered gratis for my efforts driving around my region to get them all.
I also like the add'l 5% off with the "Target Card". It surely counters the 5% in VIP points you get at the far-away Lego Stores (although I do like their "Spend X; Get Y" promotions. I don't think the Lego Stores price match. Not in my experience.
